Cody's Story

You’re Not Alone

Cody Smith left without warning, without a chance...

Cody had everything going for him. He had a great sense of humor, was highly intelligent, handsome, caring, thoughtful, loving. He helped so many people in his short 17 years.   Cody was often described as the funniest, heartwarming kid, with such a genuine loving personality; Cody was going to go places!

Cody did not present problems of depression. Some odd outbursts of what was considered normal teenage drama.  After spending quality time with his family, Cody went to bed early Sunday morning and was gone before the sunrise.

Through the recovery and acceptance of his passing the vision of Cody’s House was conceived.  A youth mental health safe haven for all youth who face mental health issues can go, and better themselves.

Our purpose is to:

  • Help youth with mental health issues gain their voice, provide assistance and aid them in their healing and growing process.

  • End the silence of suicide and reducing the risk by giving youth the proper tools to reach out and help themselves.

In Cody's memory, help us help our youth by giving them a safe place to talk and cope with everyday situations.
